anyone tell me where these bearings are made and or part numbers? i'd rather not use chinese bearings if that's where they're made. seems like a fair bit of work to have to do on a new bike to replace the bearings and if a quality bearing is just a few bucks more i'd go that route but am curious about what seals are included. thanks

yea but i've been working with machines and metal all my life and know the difference. not trying to offend anyone but the only thing the chinese make well is fireworks. i was looking for the bearing sizes to source them at the local bearing house. for the amount of work involved in changing them i'd rather spend a few bucks more and get a higher quality bearing. thanks :D

I just installed my all balls bearings today, and they are marked Korea, so they're not chinese. Not sure how you feel a bout korea's bearing making ability. I would have given you the numbers off them If I had seen this post in time, but I do remember the "Korea" marking.

Also, just so you know, it's really not that bad of a job at all to change them.

Are these bearings from HDL suppose to be better than the stock 1300 bearings? These HDL bearings being tapered and the stock 1300 not? Or... are the Honda OEM tapered bearings for the 1800 a better replacement on the 1300? Seems I've read that the Honda OEM bearings that comes on the 1300 are just poor and what creates the wobble after about 8,000 miles.

The stock bearings in the 1300 are not tapered bearings, they are ball bearings that look like they would be more at home in a bicycle. Many people have replaced them with the all balls kit and solved the wobble. Why honda chose to use the bearings they did in the 1300 is beyond me...especially considering that the 1800 bearings fit.
