I see this is a little late in the game to be saying this, but long ago I had problems with front end wobbling on my 1300 C if I let go of the bars at all. I read that this was not an issue with the 1800. I also found out that the steering head bearing size was the same but the 1300 uses ball bearings and the 1800 uses taper bearings. I got a set of taper bearings specced for an 1800 and had them put in. No more wobble since. That was about 40,000 miles ago.

I’m a little late with this for you but years ago I had problems with the front end wobbling on my 1300 C if I ever let go of the bars. I learned that the 1800 did not have this problem. Turns out the 1300 uses ball bearings and the 1800 has taper bearings. I also learned that the bearing size in the steering head was the same. I ordered a set of taper bearings specced for the 1800 and had them installed. It has not wobbled since. That was about 40,000 miles ago.
