I would like F owners opinions on a winshield that would look decent on the great lines of the F. I have needed one for a while now but just couldn't ruin the looks of the bike, but with the long ride to Sturgis not too far off, I need to get serious. If you have any pics that would also be helpful, thanks in advance to everyone. I am 5'9 in height so a big one is not neccesary, and I would prefer a swithblade if I could find one that had a good look.

F sighting in Lincoln

I just saw an F in Lincoln tonight at 56th and O with a big shield. I think it was a Memphis Fats. It didn't look "that" bad, but then again I'm not a fan of big shields. I had a Hellcat once on my Sabre.... The F, in my personal, obscured, unique opinion, does not deserve a big shield... To each their own though... And BTW, I do not own a shield anymore. I just ride raw... that's the way it is...

Not an F owner, sorry, just an opinion....

If it was me. I would get the National Cycle SwitchBlade. Great shield. Had one on my 1300. I bought the 2-up one and loved it. And it pops on and off with no tools. It looked good and it was a bigger shield. But I didnt buy it for looks. Most of us dont. I bought it to make a long day riding alot easier. Besides, who cares what ya look like going 80 down the highway??
You wanna get a shield that directs the air over you. Alot of guys get these "shorty" and "sleek" shields and the wind hits them straight in the chest or they get alot of head buffeting. And they complain about it all the time but still ride with them. :?

Sturgis ya say?? Man, im going too. Cant wait!!!

BTW, I have this cool video of the swichblade windshield. You might have seen it before. Its a Demo. They even use a shotgun and 9MM on this thing!! If you havent seen it, I could email it to you. I just need your address. UP?? BNSF myself.

Not sure your particular reason for wanting a shield but...

If it's to prevent fatigue on long rides, may I suggest a backrest in it's stead. I have a C model and I use a Rifle SoloShield and I have a Corbin seat with a removable backrest. I've ridden - no shield/no backrest, w/shield/no backrest, w/backrest/no shield.

Having both is best but if had had to choose one or the other I'd be putting on the backrest.

Just a thought.
