Passenger seat is ridiculously comfortable. 'was pretty much the reason I went with the Ultimates as we couldn't seem to get it right modifying the passenger seat ourselves.
Yes, it's bigger. She'll love it. Worth the bucks. Pull the trigger.

After the 1st 170+ mi trip with the wife riding co-pilot, she tells me that she's never going to ride with me again til I get better seats. Next day I ordered the Ultimate Big Boy 4-pc set. She's a happy camper now. Some times I have to tell her she can't go every time; I need to let my girlfriend go some too. (You believe the last part, don't you/)

Seriously, the best & most comfortable for me @ 6'2" & 300 lbs. Yes the passenger seat & backrest is wider & much softer than stock pads. Also, the rider backrest is probably not needed since the rider/operator seat has a tall back support without the rest is my .02.

+1

Just got the Ultimate 3 pc. (no rider's backrest yet)...The wife REALLY likes the wider and more comfortable passenger seat....They are a little pricey, but remember, "If Mama ain't happy, NOBODY's happy"!

The passenger seat is almost twice as wide as the stock seat...So, you be the judge...

I did the three piece (but can add drivers backrest later if wanted/needed) The wife was more comfortable. I liked how it brought me back a bit (6'3" 250#). She did have to get used to riding a little higher up though. Otherwise VERY HAPPY with the purchase. Just put them on last week actually and took a 600 mile trip last weekend on them. Amazed at the comfort.

The pillion was why I went with the ultimate, frankly. It had the best seat for my wife, and I would do anything for her comfort.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it myself. For comfort it's great. I don't like the look quite as much as some others.

Thats the first thing I bought for my bike. I have ridden several people on it and they all say it is VERY comfortable! Never rode the wife on it. She rides her own bike!

I don't know about the passenger seat but I know the driverback rest is worth it's weight in gold if your back bothers you. I also feel in more control because I'm laying against it. It gives one more contact point to the bike.

As many have mentioned above, the passenger seat is extremely comfortable. That's according to my wife who has had a number of back surgeries and now has L4 & L5 fused and lives with a spinal stimulator implanted.
She was able to ride for 2-3 hours at a time with no complaints other than a call of nature. (don't we all have that problem!)
