I would like F owners opinions on a winshield that would look decent on the great lines of the F. I have needed one for a while now but just couldn't ruin the looks of the bike, but with the long ride to Sturgis not too far off, I need to get serious. If you have any pics that would also be helpful, thanks in advance to everyone. I am 5'9 in height so a big one is not neccesary, and I would prefer a swithblade if I could find one that had a good look.

In my humble opinion, you are out of luck. I don't think the F will ever look all that great with bags or a windshield. I've thought about getting accessories that can be easily removed, but I haven't gotten around to purchasing any yet.

I suggest looking into a switchblade-type windshield that you throw on before a long ride, and once you get where you are going you could snap it off and still look cool. 8)

I have a C model, which is pretty close to the look of an F. I just bought the boulevard windshield, it looks pretty cool, and only takes a few minutes to install/take off, there are only two bolts under the triple tree that you use. I don't like the switch blade's because when you do take them off you still have part of the mounting hardware on the bike and that doesn't look too great IMO. The boulevard takes a lot of the wind off your chest and relieves some of the stress on your arms. It doesn't go high enough to block the wind from your face but if you wear a full face helmet I wouldn't worry about it. I don't get any buffeting at all with this setup either.

Shorter the better if you plan on keeping the "F" style. :D
2FS4LV has the only shield I like on the F. I wish honda made their headlight cowl for the F. I think that would look pretty hot on there as well. Form and function don't go hand and hand when it comes to shields however.

I think if you are going to go for a shield, go for the biggest one you can get. Dont worry about looks. You are not getting it for looks on the F. The F only looks good without a windshield, so get it for what it will do best, block $hit from hitting you.

You can always take it off.

PS: If I were to get a shield, I would buy the Honda:

IMHO... The F looks best without any windshield. That said, I have the Memphis Shade 21" on mine. I keep it off the bike most of the time but when going on a long ride (more than 30 miles) I put it on. It is great at reducing the wind. It goes on/comes off in only a minute. Also, I is real easy to clean by taking it off and cleaning it in my basement washtub sink. The fork mounts are not obtrusive/ugly so they don't look bad when the shield is off.
