ISSUE I would like to improve
The radio sounds great-ish up to 3/4 vol. with some bass added but over this, it clips unless you turn the bass down to neg 3. My speakers are 4ohm radio gives me 45 watts at 4ohm per channel I can increase this with 2 ohms to 72 watts per channel. The speakers I have are fair but lack strong bass this I know. What is first? Better speakers or will I need speakers and amp. If so which amp can be trusted to perform well? When I was a kid we had a hand full of components to choose from. We knew the good bad and gnarly. Now there is so much on the market im lost... I dont want to rattle glass but do want to hear John Entwistle, Flea, Jack bruces bass licks while riding
Thanks Joe

.
no unit will sound good over 3/4 volume... THD goes up quickly over 60 percent.

better speakers... then if needed a larger amp...

my opinion.

I no longer do sound systems...

I did custom for motorcycles from 1970's - late 1980's.
no money in it..

Crutchfield showed 24 watts RMS x 4 = 96 watts. 14.4 volts x 7 amps = 100.8 watts.
95% efficiency. ??? Fused at 7a, probably pulling 5amps.

Speakers - last I checked a few years ago I could hear to 6Khz. I do not need tweeters!

Do you have good size wires on the power lesds?? Wired through a relay directly to the battery??
