I have a 2007 VTX1800T that was experiencing some minor clutch slippage when I shifted hard from 2nd to 3rd gear. It felt as if the bike had a passing gear; it would start to accelerate, then it would tighten up and go. Now with the Barnett springs the bike just goes. I would recommend this upgrade to anyone who has a bike with a clutch slippage problem.
Note: I have a T model, same as an R, so I did not have to remove the exhaust system. The entire upgrade cost about $28.00. 20 for the springs and 6.50 plus tax for the RTV. Now the biggest problem was removing the old gasket material. Total time 2 1/2 hrs, about 1 hour on old gasket.
