The high beam indicator light is an LED, and it doesn't give off much heat,
also the lens in the speedometer housing is constructed with a small tube that fits down over the LED.
I took a small tuft of cotton batting, pillow stuffing from the wife's sewing room - (don't tell), sprayed it with adhesive and glued it up in the tube next to the lens.

It turns that blinding blue light into a soft dull glow.... :doorag:

Another for the sharpie mod

I did the Q-tip mod but I didn't glue it in and I'm glad because the light was uneven so I pulled it out

There is an electrical fix for this problem that I will outline here;

Remove the right side chrome plastic head cover for room to locate the dash wiring harness under the right front of the tank;

There are two green plastic connectors inside a black cover. Locate the darker blue wire in the 5 wire connector.
Cut this wire & solder a resistor in. I used a 1/4 watt 2.2k ohm resistor from radio shack. Color bars are; Red / Red / Red / Gold;

Shrink wrap or wrap with electrical tape, & tuck everything back under tank.

Finished;

Electrical stuff is not my forte... If I can do this, anyone can!nojoke

Cotton swab worked good for me too, but when I sent it to Bornonfire to get the LEDs changed to green, he also dimmed my bright light bulb and now it's just right.
