Brake light for sissy bar

230 Views 12 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Yaesu
Does anyone have any ideas on a brake light for the sissy bar? I'm thinking of something behind the backrest/pad. Couldn't really find anything. Could either be square or rectangular that would fit on the back of the pad, or possibly a thin strip on one of the bars. LED's of course.

thanks

Looks like there are some on Ebay that are simple red LED strips that you can basically mount anywhere. That might work...
The AdMore lightbar is an option.

That's pretty cool! Although I don't know if I want to get that involved. Did you make it out of a circuit board and LED's?

Standard leds and a thin gauge aluminum for mounting the leds. Seven strings of 4 leds + 220 ohm resistor.

There's actually a crapload of them on Revzilla. Just have to find something that looks good and fits.

CustomDynamics.com has tons of lights to add. I used them for lights for my VTX, Road Glide, Ultra Classic and Cross Country. Very good company to work with

You have returned... How have you been?
Pretty good, Pranks...You're holding things together here I see. 8^).

I put the 1800 on Craigslist a week ago , and in one day it was gone.

Knees and hips are shot, bike was getting heavy .

My older brother, he's 81, has a 1000 Kawasaki crotch rocket he still rides regularly.

We'll think about this for a bit.

All of my bikes have strobing auxiliary brake lights. I used to use the Whalen brand, but now similar knock-offs are available at less than half the price. Both brands are extremely bright and eye-catching. The flash sequence on these lights is adjustable.
