Brake light stuck on...

I have the same issue but it isn't turning off unless I kill the key always stays on. I adjusted the nud below and also even disconnected both top wires for front break and still wants to stay on. Aldo just for reference did unplug the rear beak plunger as well still nothing changes. Not sure what else I can do to troubleshoot it to find what the problem is

Not very many folks have the desire to read 14-15 year old posts. You would be better served to start a new post in the same section, and hopefully you will get a bunch of speedy responses. GL

Tail light vs Brake light.
1. Correct bulb 1157 light bulb.
2. Tail light ON all the time with IGN switch ON.
3. Brake light is much brighter.
4. G/Y is the brake light wire. Disconnect it. see what happens.
Right side cover in a rubber boot are the TS, Brake, run light wires.
You can use a test light for verifying voltage.

Great advice as always from Hans.
Let us know what you find, Metalman!
Curious minds want to know whether your switch went bad, wire shorted or what.
And it could help someone in the future if they have the same problem.
