Going to get my ride from the Honda shop in about an hour. Just had them install the JugHuggers and the jet kit that BUB sells for the conversion. My question is will I have to do any additional mods to the scoot (like intake mods) or is the jet kit enough? Only rode the bike 25 miles from when I picked it up new until taking it in last weekend. Don't really have alot of experience to compare the new performance (with the BUBs) compared to the stock set-up. Any insight from fellow VTX owners?

Thanks.

Hoping your dealer jet job comes out good. Post found in The Bub Club and in other exhaust/intake related post favor the dealer not doing a complete satisfing jet setup. To give your question some kind of answer to recieve the full potential from the Bubs an aftermarket intake w/ additional jet work or modified stock intake w/ additional work like the Scar shim method will need to be introduced. If your bike comes back from the dealer running good and you're happy with it that's what's going to count. Enjoy your neighbors new alarm clock.

Bub doesnt' sell jet kits, or have anything to do with them.

Sorry man, but the dealer just nailed you for some extra $$$...

I ran my bike for nearly a year with the stock intake and bubs, with no modification to the carb. I on;y had it re-jetted when I changed to a K&N filter with the stock intake, which probably would have been "ok"...just a little lean. :)

I'm running my Jughuggers with a stock intake and haven't touched the carb. Idles better when its cold than it did with the stockers and the plugs look picture perfect.

I would like to know also about the loss of power. Had mine dyno'd and they recomended to rejet due to running rich.

I was wondering, none of u have mentioned alittle low end power loss becuase of the lack of backpressure the stock pipes have... can anyone tell me how to cure the loss of power problem??
Very little loss at all ...and if you have changed intake and rejetted you have a little gain ...

Con-Grats on the BuBs.... most of us did not rejet until we change intakes, Bikes run fine with out it.... I would go ahead and change you intake and re-adjust your carbs to match will run much better...what jet size did the deal put in your carb? I would check the jet library ...its in my web site below...with other suff..

If you have not change intakes ....you should only have to adjust the A/F to lean it up a bit....did you have it dyno'd before and after the new pipes...and how much power loss it it show...

Not being a mechanic or even close... what do u mean adjust the A/F , what do u mean, and how do u do it?
Air/fuel mix.... it is on your carb you need a little tool to do it with some D time thing you can make one out of a 22 cal casing or buy one some of the jet kits will have them... also cyberhick makes one that works very well so I hear .... it just adjust the air fuel mix on your carb...

I will see if I can find you a link there are a few write ups on it....

Tombstone, I didn't get to dyno before changing the pipes. A couple others were there with stock pipes and were done. About a 5hp less. I do have to lean it out about a quarter turn.
