Any tight gaps, loose gaps or most were good???
Engine has plenty sound to it!
I was wondering if it was the hypercharger butterflies or cam chain and rockers.
Sounds like a Diesel engine!

Two were too tight, rest was ok. Sounds great imo like a Flemish loom 😊I don't think the Hypercharger has anything tot do with it.

Your 1800 has an interesting sound which is unique. I like it!
Diesel Railroad engines at idle is what my mind is coming up with.
A Flemish loom, I have not heard that one.
Let me guess, the two exhaust were too tight.

This is an example of an old school Flemish loom used for the fabrication of tapestries. Listen to the sound...

One intake valve in the front and one exhaust valve in the rear was too tight which means the smallest diameter didn't pass.
The latter is difficult to reach especially if you have big hands like me. Getting everything out of the way like the ignition coil, some hoses and wires helps a lot but elongation of the feeler gauge 013 by putting two gauges together was the thing that did it.
I set the 4 intake valves at 005 and the 2 exhaust valves at 013 following the instructions of the service manual.

This loom makes a sound like an engine cranking.
The shuttle scoots along fast from side to side.

40km = 24.8k miles - the interval Fastspek did his valve adjustment.
Honda and their 12.8 km or 8k miles valve clearance inspection. Ridiculous...

I don’t understand your point about shuttles. The distance cited is out of context. You might have intended 24.8 mph. The mechanical means of triggering the “shuttle-whacking levers” was intriguing to me, but those details aren’t covered by video. Still- an interesting look back. Thanks, fastpek!

(@2:52 the script states 150 passes per minute, modern machine makes 1000 passes per min( approx. translation :>) )

This could be understood better I suspect.

Ahhhh….. thanks, your comment was aimed at the bike maintenance interval, not the shuttle speed. Don’t know why I didn’t pick up on that the first time by. I appreciate your patience :D

My thought process is weird.
I generally read and re-read then edit the original to add key words that were missing.
It could be worse!

How much money did Honda save by not making valves train some type of hydraulic…..
