Looking at my shops Harley books yesterday I saw that they had chrome covers for all the turn/run/start/kill switches.

Has anyone seen or got the same kind of covers for our Hondas?

Figure those will be the finishing touches once I'm done polishing it all.

Thanks

Yes. My buddy has the Kury covers on all his controls and it looks sweet. I will be getting them for mine as well! Good to see you again at Beale Street the other week. It was nice to meet your girlfriend (I assume) as well. Ride safe

I just got my chromed, it looks better IMO than buying the covers to put over them.. www.rcchroming.com is where I got mine..

If you are going to start adding those you will probably want to do this too to clean-up that front master cylinder.

I don't like the idea of encasing a unit with a chrome cover. I've never seen one of those installed, but I'd imagine it would just like kind of "off". I'm going to send Handler my master cylinder and clutch perch next Wiinter.

No, no...not the switch house covers...i'm polishing them. I want chrome pieces to cover the red/black buttons.

I know about the covers...think they look cheesy and would chrome them instead if I couldn't polish them well enough.

So..does anyone know of chrome covers for the red/black buttons?

I've never seen anything for the buttons themselves but there is a place in CA that chromes plastic......I don't remember what the buttons look like on the inside but if you can take them out they should be able to chrome them.

I was going to have Handler chrome my stock ones, but the Show Chrome ones ended up costing less after I factored in the shipping. They're not covers, but actual chrome housings. I would think the Kury covers would make the housings look bulky.

you could always pop them out and hit them with some Duplicolor chrome spray paint.
Not a bad idea, although I think I'll just paint the red kill switch black.
That's my plan as well. I just got Sinned's old blacked out clamshells, so now I want the switches to blend some more.

Hey Barnacle... how much did it cost you to get your pipes ceramic coated?? I think those are sick! I have a little ding and some scratching (from a spill) on my HK DD 2.5, and was thinking of giving them the high heat paint treatment... but after seeing yours, I think that ceramic is definetely the way to go!

Hmmm...wonder why the Kury covers I've seen local had alot bigger gaps in around the switches.

Wonder how well the Duplicolor chrome paint would work? Or if I'd be better off buying a second set of stock buttons and having them chromed....

I got a friend who used the duplicolor chrome paint on his radiator cover on his shadow... :? looks more like gray primer to me than chrome...
JMHO

If I were you I'd try it on something else to see if it's what you're after before painting any actual bike parts.

I'd be interested to hear what you decide to do and how well it turns out. good luck.

yeah, i'm not so sure of "chrome" paint. lol.

Guess I'll check around to see who can chrome plastic and go that route. I'll be buying an extra set too for no down time.
