Err..ok...what did I break now?

Spent the day replacing my handlebars (1800 riser and a Yamaha Roadstar bar), got everything hooked back up, etc. I noticed the clutch cable look a little frayed at the end, so I replaced it. I put the new cable on, adjusted it to the right amount of free play, etc.

Well...now I cannot shift into first gear. 2nd and 3rd are ok, but no go on 4th either.

Did I miss something when I adjusted the cable? Is this something completely different?

It's likely you missed something when you adjusted the cable. Sounds like you are not be fully releasing the clutch when you depress the lever.

When you squeeze the clutch lever, how much movement do you get on the clutch lifter arm at the other end of the cable? It should be close to 1/2".
