I installed a Cobra FI2000 on my 2006 VTX 1800c I also have the Cobra Speedster Longs and stock air cleaner. I didn't change the original settings and it seemed to work just fine. Now after 2000 miles after I start the motor to let it warm up it pops for about 5 minutes and sometimes it keeps on popping for quite a while. Performance seems OK but I wonder if there;s something amiss. Anybody got one of these animals? had this problem too? what did you do to "Stop the Pop."

Mine is under right side cover, so I can adjust it while at idle to smooth it out. I have the 2 pot where the left one is the idle adjustment.

You may have to experiment a little, as I'm not sure if done cold or warm is going to be effected.
I guess I'd try it both ways.
My fuel tank is off right now, other wise I would give you my results.

Check the acorn nut on the exhaust they might be loose. If u didn't use washers the nuts might have just bottomed out without getting tight. With the original settings that thing is way rich there shouldn't be any popping. Tighten exhaust, set to 2-0-0 or 3-0-0 and u should be set.

+1

The majority seem to use the setting of 2-0-0 from what I have read here over the years.

Please tell you mean that the left pot is the adjustment for the "low end RPM range" and you're not actually adjusting your idle speed with it. That would be bad.
