...that's the forecast at current. I think we'll have more bikes than that!!!!

The weather is going to be great!!!!

Northern riders will be meeting at the CrackerBarrel (120th / I-25) bewteen 8:45 and 9:00AM.... leaving at 9:15.

We should be at the La Quinta (I-25 / Arapahoe) with enough time to grab coffee and a short snooze before Red Rider pulls in.... at 10:01

See you all on Saturday!!!!!

.................................................................................................
It's been given 2-thumbs up by our State Coordinator and announced at our last Owner's meeting ... the 4th Annual Colorado Spring Opener - Black Hawk Buffet Ride - to be Saturday, April 16th and 23rd, 2005 !!!!!!!!!!!

It's gonna be that good - we already know we wanna do both - and there is more than one way to get to Black Hawk!!!

I can remember that first ride to Black Hawk in April of '02 as clear as the snow capped Rockies against a Colorado Blue Sky..... 21 VTXers, 3 Valks, 2 Wings and 2 crotch rockets met to create that legendary ride that brought bikes and buffets together!!!!!!!!!

Andrea and I couldn't make Year-2 due to the passing of her father, but we did hear that the ride was a huge success, even pulling in some Wingers from Wyoming. We heard that Scott - Scooterless gave an outstanding performance of break-dancing on the X in the parkinglot of the Riviera!!!!!!!!

We threw in a twist on Year-3 and gave away a "FREE BUFFET" to the Xer who guessed the number of bikes that would show up at the ride meeting point at 9:00 AM ... and I made a bet with Red-Rider that he couldn't make the Colorado Springs to Denver run in less than an hour.

Well, Bye-Bye (Gary) guessed the closest number (34 - we had 37 at the meeting point ... over 60 in total) and yes, Red-Rider won that bet (even though I think he cheated - being towed by the Yellow Monster and pushed by Sun Bum and Die Hard) ... man those Colorado Springs Riders can ride in tight formation at high speeds ... kinda like watching the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds... only faster!!!!!!!!!! I think Mutt even made it down from Wyoming. We had a few turn around and run on the way up to Echo-Lake... I guess they didn't like the snow...

Year four stands to be even more exciting!!!!!!! We are going to have the "Guess the Number" contest again and sweeten the pot a little!!!!

Keeping with the theme of our ride destination (Black Hawk- cha-ching!), we'll have a 50/50 drawing ($1 tickets - buy 1 or buy 1800 ---> 1300 if you are a little short on cc's... whoops, I mean cash) with 50% going to the person with the drawn ticket and 50% going to the person who guesses the number of bikes in the LaQuinta parking lot at 10:00 AM!!!!!!
(I'll start the guessing at 83 ---> we may have to take over two or three casinos, this year!!!)

Your guesses must be sent to [email protected] (subject Black Hawk Ride - I'll update the guess list weekly), winner must be present to win, and the closest guess - without going over, wins!!!!! (ties will split the pot). More contest details to come...

To sweeten the pot for Red-Rider.... The challenge - If he can make this year's run in less than 50 minutes, from Colorado Springs to the LaQuinta parking lot (the one at I-25/Dry Creek Road, Denver) without getting a ticket, he'll win not only a free buffet, but dinner at the Texas T-Bone....on a date to be determined!!!!!

Stay tuned for ride details..... and if you are planning to be in Colorado around that time, please join us!!!!

Hope to see you out there!!!!

GnA,

Any idea when the Colorado site will be back in business? I am still only seeing the Womens board when I log on.
