We were out rideing around last night and ended up at the top of the Philadelphia art museum steps. I had my X parked on the spot where Stalone raised his arms and jumped up and down in Rocky. Where have you found yourself that was kinda cool.

I ride in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in ND all the time. It helps I live in Medora, the gateway to the Park. After a day of work I take an hour and a half to two hours and just ride to clear my head and feed my soul on the beauty and peace there.

Deadwood, SD in Oct. My ride started out fairly nice, but by the time I was coming through Deadwood on the way home it was 28 deg. and snowing!! That was beyond cool, it was downright cold!!

Not to steal the thread but everywhere around the Blackhills was was cool as far as I'm concerned. The length of the Blue Ridge Parkway this year then back out your way next year.

BTW when do most of the tourist thin out ? I'll guess after the first of August ?

August is terrible! Seems that more and more people are coming the week before or the week after the rally so they can avoid the crowds? So, now traffic is bad for the first 3 weeks of Aug. Sept. is by far the best month to visit. Tourists are gone, but most everything is still open. The weather is perfect (60-80/day - 30-50/night) rarely ever rains. It is by far mny favorite month for riding!

Me and a couple buddies found this road by accident when looping New Mexico. It's about 33 miles (as the crow flies) east-northeast of Silver City, New Mexico on Hwy 152.

Very nice twisty mountain road. Up and down as much as it is left and right. Tons of trees and beatiful, quiet and empty roadways.

Of all the beautiful places I have ridden to on my VTX,
I have to say that the Coolest places I have found myself at with my VTX would be the lunches, dinners and breakfast's I have found myself at with people I have never met in person before, and we all became friends instantly because of the VTX.

Here is an example of this past Saturday mornings breakfast in Elk Grove Ca.
