Today’s updated CDC numbers show a US total of 121,117 deaths from C-19 as of 6/23 at 4pm. Yesterday’s reported number was 120,333 total deaths from C-19, for a one day increase of 784 additional deaths. As of 4/28, the CDC daily report format changed and the breakdown of total deaths into categories of ‘confirmed’ and ‘probable’ is no longer clearly stated. It is reasonable to suspect that the ‘probable’ category continues to be roughly 10% or more of the reported total.

I heard on the news today that North Carolina’s governor had issued an executive order requiring masks to be worn in public; I believe both indoors and out. Guess I will have to investigate further exactly what the alleged requirements really are..., and then I will have to decide on whether or not to comply. My job involves essential products/services, so for the most part, this whole pandemic lockdown stuff has had a totally negligible impact on me. Perhaps that’s about to change.

As of 6/25, WHO lists a total of 5,209 C-19 deaths in Sweden. Multiplying by 32 to scale up to the size of the US yields 166,688 deaths. Per the same WHO reported numbers on 6/25, the US C-19 death toll is 120,955. This means the less intrusive Swedish approach to coronavirus mitigation has resulted in 38% greater deaths, without yet accounting for timeline differences in general transmission dates seen by these two countries.

Dud, you can't wear the mask while armed. Better yet open carry, the masked idiots give you plenty of room and none of them will bother trying to mask shame you.
LOL. That’s a good topic to stay informed about. Actually, the normal mask prohibitions while carrying concealed have been suspended in NC thru August. So that point isn’t really a significant consideratIon for me when it comes to choosing mask complliance or not.

As of 6/26, WHO lists a total of 5,230 C-19 deaths in Sweden. Multiplying by 32 to scale up to the size of the US yields 167,360 deaths. Per the same WHO reported numbers on 6/26, the US C-19 death toll is 121,645. This means the less intrusive Swedish approach to coronavirus mitigation has resulted in 38% greater deaths, without yet accounting for timeline differences in general transmission dates seen by these two countries.

As of 6/27, WHO lists a total of 5,280 C-19 deaths in Sweden. Multiplying by 32 to scale up to the size of the US yields 168,960 deaths. Per the same WHO reported numbers on 6/27, the US C-19 death toll is 124,161. This means the less intrusive Swedish approach to coronavirus mitigation has resulted in 36% greater deaths. Given the current resurgence in cases in the US, the generic comparison disclaimer regarding timeline differences in general transmission dates seen by these two countries is being deleted.

As of 6/28, WHO lists a total of 5,280 C-19 deaths in Sweden (unchanged from yesterday). Multiplying by 32 to scale up to the size of the US yields 168,960 deaths. Per the same WHO reported numbers on 6/28, the US C-19 death toll is 124,811. This means the less intrusive Swedish approach to coronavirus mitigation has resulted in 35% greater deaths, based on just a nominal numerical comparison.
