I went back through so many posts on this board about the diode fix and came across 2 people that asked the same question I am about to but they had no replies šŸ˜‚. I couldn’t find an answer and I’m sure someone smarter than me could find it in the archives.

I installed the diode fix because when my left, rear blinker was on, my right one would also blink faintly. It also caused by brake light to flash. My my right rear blinker works as it should as do all the other blinkers.

I install the fix and it still does the same thing. I followed the instructions from Bad Ass Choppers and am pretty certain I followed his instructions but… 😊

I did ground the orange wire to the green. The diode is attached to the LB wire.

I used this kit : Kuryakyn 4709 Motorcycle LED Lighting Component: Diode Kit Wire Assembly for Metric Motorcycles with Single Turn Signal/Blinker Indicator Light on Dash https://a.co/d/dztXeWa

and the instructions from Bad Ass Choppers:
Read this part carefully…
With the orange and light blue wires cut, strip the insulation from the orange wire coming FROM the dash lights and splice it into the green wire in the harness. This green wire is your bike’s ground and you want to tap this wire into that ground. Once you solder the orange wire into the green, heat shrink the connection or wrap it tightly with electrical tape.
Now you have 3 wires left, 2 coming from the bike (orange and light blue) and the light blue wire coming from the dash lights. You have to decide whether you are using the Kuryakyn premade diode kit or if you are making your own kit.

I bought this bike about 4 weeks ago and am slowly undoing the previous owners gaffs. These blinkers were on it when I got it but the red lights were in front and amber in back.
Are you saying that if I buy a more suitable pair of blinkers to replace the Chinese LED cheapos, the diode fix should work?

My front headlight and brake lights are also LED. The indicator light works as it should. Here is how the rest of the bike is wired ā€œThe Kuryakyn diode kit has 1 blue wire and 2 red wires. You want to solder and heat shrink the 2 red wires from the diode to the orange and light blue wire coming from the bikeā€.
