Did the ground fix about 12 years ago. In March I was coming down a hill at about 10 mph and engine bogged. Gave it some gas just as I hit a bump and next thing I remember the bike was on its side and I had a crushed leg.
Repair shop said when they started the bike it was only running on 1 cylinder. They redid the ground fix and it ran fine. It appears the grounds had disconnected (probably the coil ground) causing the engine to shut off. The bump must have caused the ground to reconnect and jerk the bike.
So if has been a few years do the ground fix again.

Thanks for sharing this,,, and sorry for your misfortune. I would have never thought about "re-doing" the ground fix. Good information.
Get better and safe riding....

Glad you're OK and I have given that same advice many times over the years. Do the ground fix every couple of years especially if you live/ride near saltwater. Corrosion does come back

Yes....who sez that a 'fix' is going to last forever?
