 I know I will probably step on some toes with this post but here goes anyway.
I am a commercial driver that runs about 2000 to 2500 miles per week, and I came come up with the following observations.
"WE" as a nation operate our vehicles on our daily commutes that have led me to come to these conclusions.
WE have a total disregard for safety of our selves and of the motoring public as well. WE tend to operate our vehichles 10-15 mph over the posted speed limits, with no thought about stopping distances or planning ahead, and if we need to "hurry to get to the next exit" or to change lanes suddenly, oh well we got where we needed to go it is up to every on else to adjust accordingly. But when some one we love tragically killed or injured, then we start thinking about safety
"WE" really do not care about fuel consumption or conservation of it it any form, if we did we would not drive 10-15 mph over the posted speed limit.
When "WE" buy a fuel efficient or hybrid type of vehichle "WE" still drive 10-15 mph over the posted speed limit, so all we really care about is saving a few bucks on a weekly basis and not really about fuel conservation.
Just an observation I know no one asked me BUT
Take Care
