I used a 1/4" combination wrench with a rag wrapped around it. Put the open end of the wrench inside the intake catching the gasket. Tapping the wrench with a plastic hammer VERY GENTLY, with the rag against the outside edge of the intake it should pop out. To put in the new one put some (not much) grease on it to hold the gasket in place while you put the pipes on. The grease will burn off.
