Treated myself to a Reckless fairing.

I'm not sure what it's called, it's between the inner and outer fairing, weatherstrip?
I assume the 'shield should be mounted in back of the strip, correct?

I ordered it with a Rockford Fosgate head unit and speakers installed.
I don't want water to get inside the fairing, and screw up the electronics.

I avoid riding in the rain, but I do get caught once in a while.

Thanks,

Rick

Post some pictures. I have a Woody’s fairing and have ridden several thousand miles in the rain. The speakers should be marine rated. Is there anything over the top of the head unit inside the fairing? In my fairing there is a plastic cover over the top.

I don't have it mounted yet. I'm trying to figure out if the strip between
the 2 halves of the fairing should be in front or in back when I mount the windshield

The speakers are Marine rated, as is the head unit.
No cover on the head unit

Didn't have a Recless but my HD fairing had nothing on the backside of the shield
There's a space at the top between the assembled inner and outer fairing that has a rubbery strip, I assume to keep water out. I think that strip should be on the outside of the 'shield.
