My hubby and I are traveling from Indiana to the New England States next week. On the way back we are going to ride across your beautiful state. Is Highway 6 a good road? Any suggestions on places to eat, stay,do? Thanks for any and all info, and for letting me jump in to your forum space.

It is an awesome road however I just moved to the state not to long ago (from one of the most beutiful states Maine, may be a little biased) and am not to familiar with the good places to eat, stay, or see up that way. I am sure someone else will chime in with some more useful information though.

I have only been on portions of Route 6 but that is definately the road to take. I'm actually planning to ride the entire route sometime this summer.

You should definitely ride Route 6.

There are lots of mom-and-pop places to eat. If you like the diner experience, Pipher's Diner in Wysox, PA is a classic; the Wellsboro Diner is also nice. You won't run out of good eats on that road.

Thanks Jewel, This helps. I think one of these was also recommended to me on another forum I'm on. Must be a good place. Diner's and motorcycles just seem to go together

Thanks for the link. It made the decision to ride the more time consuming 6 back home seem worth it. I can't wait for next Monday to get here!
