I've got a small leak somewhere in my rear tire & I'm wondering how safe it is to add something like fix a flat to it?

The dealer wants $30 to fix it, I'd rather wait until I need a new tire which should be later this year to spend money on it.

do not use fix-a-flat in any tire unless you are going to remove and clean the rim and tire very soon. Will eat a rim from the inside out.
You may want to try some of the so called slim products. One is called Green Slim.. we use this product in the 4 wheeler tires and have no adverse effects from it. The slim will gather in the bottom of tire and make it feel like it is out if balamce.
As part owner of a tire store I see damage from fix-a-flat every day..

myself I wouldn't take a chance. I would get it fixed..
