Past bikes

My last one was a 92 Virago 750. I was looking for something with a little more presence on the freeway, and highway gearing. I looked at the 1100 Yamahas, but they had the same gearing as the 750, and so was getting serious about the 1600 Roadstar when Honda announced the VTX1300S. I also looked at the 1500 & 1600 Kawasakis, but didn't feel they were competitive with the Honda, more power, good engineering and for less money. I never really considered the VTX1800, couldn't justify the size, weight and muscle to pull my 5'6" frame around. The 1300 fit just right; after Aeromach risers so I could reach the bars.

Many years ago, when much younger, I had a Honda CL175 and a small Suzuki I rode to school on both winter and summer in Greeley, CO. The little Suzuki handled snow better than one would imagine and wasn't too heavy if it ended up on top. Never dropped either of them though. :)

Berfore the X

I had a 1984 Honda V65 Magna! That bike was bad to the bone. Alot of fun to ride and extremely quick/fast. --never to the strip but pretty sure if tuned properly, ran low 11.00's. I've been without a bike for 2 years. I sold the Mag after the crank bearing went out. --sold it to a friend for $400 ---it's sweet just needs rebuild. I've been planning / saving / researching until now. Sat on that black 03 1800C everyday while delivering UPS, and finally could'nt take it anymore. I'ts the baddest bike I've ever owned.
