I looking for a place to purchase a motorcycle frenched in (welded in) license plate box. I know Paul Yaffe makes one but its $115 which seems like way to much for a small metal box that holds a license plate, but I could be wrong. Anyone here have one or know anyone who makes one?

Oh before any states I should post this on another board like the "Wanted To Buy" board. I'm seeking information I'm not necessarily looking to buy one today. Thanks!

Dezzy-7,

Send me some specs on the license box you need and I might be able to weld it up for you. Give me some links of what you like and I'll see what I can do. Send me a PM if interested.

I do know that the fender comes clean without the license plate frenched in. You need to do that yourself. I think it was pretty easy to do if you can mix a little fiberglass. I just measured the size i needed and made a flat piece (in my case I made a carbon fiber flat piece). it fit across the inside edges of the fender perfectly. then I made one more piece of fiberglass and cut it in half and cut and sanded the 2 to form the inside of the fender top and bottom. Cut a licese plate sized hole in your fender, Fiberglass the 3 pieces in and there ya have it a Freched in plate. here are some pics.

If you get me the dimensions I can make a stainless steel one for you, for a very small fee of course. I actually made a couple of side mount brackets last night. I will also need to know how your gonna mount it to your fender so that I can put mounting tabs on it if I need to

Boothtech and CadeyzDad, Thanks a bunch. I went ahead an ordered one. If you are interesting I can get you the actual specs once it arrives. None of the pics actually mentioned the specs and I didn't want to guess wrong. Let me know, evidently there's a market for the product but I was only able to find one maker for it for bikes.
