Maybe I missed it, but did someone put the wrong jets in it or otherwise screw up the job, such as not trimming the tit on the needle holder, trimming the slide spring too short, etc....
Donnie , you talking about the big slide spring or the small tit spring . Maybe if I knew what lengths they should be .Cause after tear down by the book and reassemble there is nothing missing .

Did you take pictures?? Did you compare all internal parts to
MR VTX Carb 101

Before could you sense the fuel was high before cranking it??
No I didn't take pictures but I did go step by step and everything was the same .I guess I don't know what you mean " fuel was high before cranking "

As I watch the carb as bike is running , there is so much fuel going in there I don't see how it could even burn that much fuel
Where is it coming from??? I was thinking higher fuel level. You tell me..
slide spring could be around 11"ERROR 7.5" and some cut them shorter. Not recommended for vtwin was what I read. .

Cancel the order.. Flat top OEM needle did not need
the tit clip. Aftermarket needles have clips to
lower/raise needle, that is where the tit clip needed.
As long as the spring stays on all is good.

What about the "needle jet holder" above the emulsion tube??
Is it in there??

Where did you see the fuel flow when last running??

Not running out of it but the more I accelerate the flow just seems too great. Like it's coming from different places than the jets
and the vacuum piston is constantly bouncing up and down. Seems like it should hold a steady position once you hold accelerator in one position
This is interesting... With the bowl OFF, fuel hose on, petcock ON gas should flow(petcock mod). Can you stop the flow when you push up on the float?

Yes the needle jet holder is there .Came new with the needle .And that's where I seem to see so much fuel flow

Fuel level probably too high in carb bowl, my guess.
I would think if the fuel got high enough it would run out at some point,
engine not running.

Are you are turning the float up and blowing into it and
needle shuts flow, or has gas in bowl and you blow
into fuel hose?

Have you ever removed the fuel hose from the carb
and pulled out that small filter/strainer??
Someone found some trash between float valve seat
and the the filter/strainer.
