So the 215 doesn't rub, great to know (considering dark side later).
But what about 2-up? With extra weight and extra sag, would the different profile and increased width rub then?

I think going 215 width on a 16 inch rim will give you a rub. For the non-F models, I believe 205 is as wide as you want. But YMMV.

I ran a 205/65/16 on my '05 for several years. Last rear tire I ever had to put on the bike. I'm really surprised an 18 fits.

Once you're used to it you won't give it a lot of thought. Like most anything else ya gits used to it.

I looked under the rear fender yesterday. To my surprise, its shape is rather rectangular so a car tire profile won't be any different from a MC tire profile. The width is key, though. Eventually I might grown the balls to go dark side.

well yeah. LOVE THE FIGHTING. My money is on darksiders and ams oil people. They really dig in and fight.

No rubbing with or without passenger. Rear suspension set at about half way.

I don't know about all that business, your brass is heavier than mine, lol

Definitely took some getting used to, the ride is terrific, slow speed I feel it, upper speed not much, seems like grip in corners is good, 40 psi...no rub....
