Thanks guys for all the nice words and I'm glad to be back too.........kinda

My son and I had a blast and it was invaluable time together.
As to your question.
I started out 3 years ago, subbing or jobing out my chrome to local shops and such and going through the learning curve on who does good work and who doesnt.
That was not very reliable so I became finacially invested in some local polishing and chroming facilites to better control quality.
So all of my chroming is done here in STL except for wheels. Wheels are very special and requre special fixturing and racking. I still send them out but am constantly juggling that as need be to mantain quality.
In the future, I would not be suprised if we did wheels locally
Oh and for the other funny man.
I dont have any 240 kits with rare deals attached. In fact, I dont really even do kits. I leave that stuff to the other folks who do it well but I do sell individual components such as swingarms that we build here locally and wheels. No fenders or seats.
I am going to add a service very very soon to my site though.
As most of you know, we have been chroming and polishing final drives now for 3 years and building them to factory specs.
I'm going to be offering an option on our drives to change out the gears for an up charge for those interested. Its easy for us to do this while the until is torn down for chrome. We tear down and build lots of these each week and stock 1300 and 1800 units all the time chromed.
It seems there are increasing numbers of folks going this 1300 gear route for their 1800's no matter what my personal feelings on the matter are so, we're going to respond to the market by adding that additional service.
Thank, mike

Just curious. Do you do the chroming yourself or do you have it sent out?
