The local dealer here traded for a Roadking. (The owner wanted a Yamaha Venture). It was a '02 model with a shield and lightbar and some other add-ons. I rode it for about three hours and noticed there was no buffeting....at any speed. There were no lowers on it and the windshield was just a little higher than mine on my X. I can't explain why it was different on the Harley, but without lowers my head gets shaken badly on the X.
Just an observation.

you don't notice the headache cause your a$$ still hurts from the raping the Harley dealer did when you signed the paperwork. :shock:

The tank is probably strategically placed to block the buffetting. My harley was worse than the x.
