Here it is 2 months after the wreck. I am in a rehab/nursing home healing for a month or two before
anything else can happen (like surguries)

I got on the board just to look. Through the links I found the topic "prayers for haveme 1".

I am blown away by the prayers and the thoughts sent by you guys and gals. I want to thank all of you
from the bottom of my heart. I want to thank hivoltg and all the ppl that took time from their lives for me.

Some of you are right about me ragging about reading about bike wrecks and then it was me being read about.
Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut......NAW !!!!!!!!!
I would have not posted it but vicki needed you.
She needed to tell someone.

I want to thank the guys that have visited me. Some were from ILL., TX and Ms/Tn.
I want to thank you guys for welcoming Vicki and for being so supportive to her. She is a wonderful woman.
She needed you and you were there. Thank you so much.

here is my story____ 9:15 pm. 4/24/07
I had just got off the phone with Vicki, she called to tell me I need to get home
before the rain. Like a good boy I headed home. It's like hivoltg said, I went through a light and
just a little ways down a sprinkle of rain hit my face mask and I glanced at it and thought
"I'll be home before the rain comes"
......................Thats it........................

I have been told that a young gal pulled her front end right out in front of me, (I was about 6' away) there was nothing I could do.

I woke up several days later with wonderful Vicki holding my hand, kissing my head telling me I would be alright. She has been so strong through all of this. My Dad,stepmotherand and Brother
have been right beside me all the while also. I couldn't have made it with out them.

If nothing else comes from this learning about unconditional love is my lesson.
I do remember Vicki brushing my hair and how conforting it was to me. Now I read you guys post and I know that there are
"friends I have yet to meet" and they care.

Again, Thank you from the bottom of my Heart and I wish/pray you all enjoy life safely.

Johnny (haveme1)

ps 1 more kudos for cody and his family and friends, Thank you.

It's great to know you're still here. Best wishes on the continued recovery. The hospital and rehab stuff has got to be getting old. Hang in there.....

Glad to see you can still post.

I'm another rider that is still trying to recover from a wreck caused by a cage driver not paying attention to where she was turning, and you are right... unconditional love is truly awsome.

It's a shame that it takes something like this for so many of us to see it.

From one wounded biker to another... Heal well, and ride again soon!

Johnny,

Glad you made this post and I'm glad you're on the healing road. I always new they grew a tough bunch down there (I used to live in Memphis) and it's proving to be true. I also knew that there are some very caring people in the south. Goodspeed to you and here's my prayers and wished for your speedy revovery.

Did you type that or Vicky did it for you? It sure dont sound like the same haveme1 that I got acostume reading posts from!!!
One thing, I am glad that you are posting back and you see and understand what have happened. The good people in this world go through tough situations just so they can understand whats good in life and after this everything else going to be in cruise control in the future life.
Be glad you did good before this happened choosing the partner you have. You couldnt have chosen a better person than Vicky. Glad to hear you are in good spirits. Recover soon and as long as you can brush your hair by yourself then you can get back in the saddle!!!
