Hey everybody. Just bought a 2003 VTX 1300S for me & my wife to enjoy. Look forward to meeting many of you & learning some mods & fixes from the board. I own 5 motorcycles currently. This is only the 2nd cruiser I've owned in my life but it seems to be a very capable motorcycle.

Hello Banditoloco, welcome to the VTXOA! Looks like a nice, clean VTX!
2003 1300 was the only year a 1300 had an electric fuel pump.
If it ever fails, convert to gravity flow.
You are in a great riding area. One hour away from the best areas in GA. 136 to Cloudland canyon, 60 north, US76, 180, 348, US 129.
Most of us air up tires to about 40 psi. Better tire life, less flexing.
Regular gas, it is a low compression engine.
Enjoy your ride.

Thanks everyone. Had a minor issue last weekend. Went for our first ride. Did about 125 miles. As I pulled in the driveway and applied just the rear brake because it's gravel I heard the dreaded grinding sound. Inner pad was down to the metal. Put some EBC hi pads on front and rear Friday. Much better now.
