I am working on my 5th Fairing install on a VTX... been happy with these choices. The AMP is especially important. The waterproof housing below is also available in black. The speakers are silver, but put some paper towels over the cones and spray them black.

I have installed a 4-channel Pyle Hydra AMP and the owner has been pleased with it.

Fairing Power Plug: Hopkins 47995 trailer connector . I found these locally (Northern Tool) for much cheaper than eBay or Amazon. Link is for reference.

Thank you very much for that info!

a few more questions for an expert.

for the amp is that powered by the connector or did you
have to run heavier wire back to the battery?

is there any good wiring help or diagram out there you
may have a link to. Hard with all the info on the net
to find someone that has been there done that to same
bike.

i got the 3" extensions ordered up last night.

appreciate the info very much!

The wire with this connector is plenty heavy...

I'll draw one up and post it. I'll probably make up a "fairing-install" post with pictures.

thanks much, I can get the connector thru my work (ace hardware) wooo save $1 lol.

I assume you then run (WHAT GAUGE WIRE) from the front end back to the battery or fused
block that I see some attaching to their tool boxes.

lookin forward to your post for sure, thanks again!
