I have a F model 1800 and get just blasted with wind after 50MPH. The height is about a inch over eye level. If I lean foward about 2 inches it's perfect. If I lower it as far down as it goes do you think that would help. It seems it's just so far away from me and never had that before on my 02 1800 R with Honda Line shield.

honestly, most of the bikes with windshields I've ridden I do not like the windshields. Seems they create more turbulence than anything else. I like the wind in my face..... :D
I think that's why the Goldwings and ST's and similar bikes have vents in the windshield. It puts more wind in the area behind the shield and creates higher pressure there. The low pressure created by a solid windshield means the air from around the shield rushes inward and creates that turbulence.

Uh... at least I think so... :D

And most aftermarket companies don't spend the time or money on aerodynamic/wind testing.

I've ridden two cruiser type bikes that were setup just perfectly for me on the windshield, my wife's old LC1500 and a Victory Kingpin with the tourer package. Both of these setups were OEM and they did not have any detectable turbulence when I drove them.

I think the vents in the GW are actually there so you CAN get some air in the face to cool off if you want it because when those shields are setup correctly you don't get any, or at least I didn't.
