I just bought one off ebay, and it came off a 1300...I put it on, fits great, but now i want to put on the rear lugguge carrier and i dont know if i need to buy one for the 1800, or the 1300.... is the lugguge rack universial or is it a different part?????


not sure what to do, dont want to buy the wrong rack

HDL has different part numbers for the 1300C, 1800C and 1800R so it looks like you'll have to order the one for the 1300. I would have thought only the mounting brackets would be different and all use the same sissy bar and luggage rack.

You will have to buy the carrier for the 1300. It's wider than the 1800 rack by about 1/2 inch.

I've got both bikes with backrests and carriers, and the parts from one don't play well with the other.

i run the backrest and luggage rack that i originally bought for my 1300c on my 1800c

the other models have different bolt patterns on the fender rail, but the c models are DEFINITELY interchangeable. i cant imaging that the retro would be any different.
