I always assumed that a 1300 would probably go more miles than an 1800, just less mass spinning around in the engine but I've seen a lot of high-miles 1800's here. Mine is an 03' 1800. Bought it in 2013 with 8000 miles on it, it now has 23000 on it and runs like new.

03' : 1800 : 23000 miles

Bought mine used in 2011 with 5800 on the clock, now at 39098. About 8000 per year. I figure it will last another 10 years or so.....unless I start riding more.......I need to start buying used vehicles from the sheriffs auction.

Bought my '07 1800N in 3/08, zero miles, now has 50,757. Before that I had an '06 1300C bought new also with zero miles in 2/06, sold in 6/08 with 25,000 miles.

I am planning to leave here (NE Fla) in late May, heading wet to Ok, Tx, Az, NM, Co. and end up in Sturgis last week of July first week of August; and there will be no interstate highways ridden during that time.

Bought my 1800C new in 2006. Current mileage is at 171,400. Still runs like new.
Holy crap.

I don't do a total of 19,000 miles a year going ANYWHERE, even if I add up the truck miles and the bike miles . . . work/play/etc. Wish I had that kind of time.

Bought new in 2014, 03 1800 C, about 60K miles on it. Not quite stock anymore

On a side note, the 2 high mileage bikes in this area besides Bill from Squim are owned by women and both are over 100K, both are long term customers of mine and take good care of their bikes. They ride in all kinds of weather

^ Jon, are those women riding 1300s or 1800s? I was sort of surprised by the OP's assumption that longevity might be tied to displacement, and was sort of curious about that aspect.
