I have a bike that was previously registered in NY & had a yellow inspection sticker on the front fork. I got the top layer off but can't seem to cut thru the adhesive layer. I use lighter fluid which generally works on most other sticky residue applications including the tank stickers but doesn't seem have any effect on the fork sticker.

I know those state inspection stickers are made by the lowest bidder but this one must have a real wicked sense of humor or maybe an ex-wife that ran off with a biker. I don't know but it's probably not legal to shoot him.

Thanks for your help

Maybe rubbing it with some ACETONE soaked rags.

Not enough acetone that it runs all over the forks, just enough to wet the rag and rub it over the sticker.

Do not pour it over the sticker, as it will run down the fork and I do not know where it might end up.
