trying to add a dual horn setup . so i need to hook up a relay. instructions ask if the horn button is connected to battery power or ground. i know i have power to one wire with switch one and horn button depressed and the oter wire is not powered . so is the horn button connected to the battery power or not ? i am kinda slow when it comes to wiring. thanks for all the help

HEY! HEY! your are correct

thanks a million that worked great now i have a vtx1800r tha sounds
like a 74 caddy coupe deville. i know that they will hear me when i
honk now. sometimes wiring just confuses the heck out of me.

Not to argue, but if they recommend or require a relay than you should really use a relay to prevent burning up wires. Here's a page to help explain it in more depth:

I know in the past there have been multiple posts on this, I've contributed to some - so if that page doesn't get you there you can try searching as well. What you have now works but it could eventually cause problems for you without the relay wired in - you're also likely not getting as much performance from the horns as possible. :wink:
