How many people has it killed in the US compared to a regular flu season? How about suicides? Cancers?
Just an FYI, the CDC has a website that is updated daily that shows you the number positive tests and the number of moralities:

The rate as of yesterday for US 12,064 deaths with 374,329 infections is 3.2%. Although this does not include the total number infected and not confirmed COVID+, the same could be said about the flu.

The CDC estimates for last year's flu season in the US had 34,200 deaths with 35,500,000 infections a rate of 0.096%. This was over the entire season.

There is no coronavirus shot, and in addition there is no protection from herd immunity (if everyone in your contact circle gets the flu shot, your likelihood of getting it without getting the flu shot is minimal) that is present with the flu.

So far, you cannot even compare the flu to coronavirus, coronavirus is the New England Patriots of viruses.

Our area hospitals (including mine) have refrigerated trucks to hold the dead (with shelves to be able to stack bodies), since all of our morgues are WAY over capacity. If the world (including us) didn't shut down everything but essential services, which has never been done for the flu, can you imagine how much worse this would be?

So, even if in the end the infection rate proves to be less than the flu (very unlikely), it only is so, because of the steps we have taken to reduce the spread.

Here is a link that will explain better from a NYC ER Doc. This the shortened version, there is also a hour version. This should clear a lot of the misinformation.
Since I work in Healthcare our CMO had us watch this.
