Thank You! It has been a great ride!
Many great people on this forum, I am proud to be a member.
I have enjoyed many rides with other VTX riders. M&G/RTE.
I will have to do maintenance this winter to get it ready for another 100k miles.
With the VTX I went to places I may never have gone to.
I am fortunate that I have mountains in north Georgia. Five hours I could be at NC/TN mountains.
One week after purchase a ride on Tail of the Dragon.
I never heard of it before. My Brother in Law (Poboy in Louisiana 1300C) told me about it.
Seven weeks after purchase the VTX Homecoming in Marysville, OH with my BiL.
I have been on the BRP to Rockfish Gap, VA. Three rides to VA!
Two rides to Texas Hill Country, relatives in San Antonio and Fredericksburg.
Cherohala Skyway(Robbinsville - Tellico Plains) is one of my favorite.
Foothills Parkway to Scenic TN73 to US 441(Restricted) is scenic.
Brasstown Bald, GA; Clingman's Dome, TN; Mt Mitchell,NC > highest elevation.
Y'all take care.

Congratulations Hans. That's 200,000 smiles :)
I believe there is a multiplication factor that has been omitted.
One smile per mile???
The monsoon from Mt Mitchell may have been lacking but the ride up to
Mt Mitchell was great! Overall many smiles!
Mt Mitchell is the highest point of the Eastern Continental Divide.
The highest point on the BRP is 41 miles from Cherokee, NC. I can see for miles and miles!
A few miles west of Cherokee, NC is "Clingman's Dome", the highest point in TN.
Cherohala Skyway tops off at 5390 feet at Santeelah.
I like to get HIGH..

A few pix.
VTX at home, at Deal's gap and at Deal's Gap again with BiL enroute to
Honda Homecoming. But wait, one more time in October.

What did I do on the 16th day??? 6/24/05

Hans, I've ridden down to Summerville, GA, a few times (406 miles down) to visit my wife's family. I usually get off I40 and get on 411 just outside Pigeon Forge. Had not realized how close I was to Cherohala and the Dragon. (y)
