Ordered my pipes from the 4th of July sale and a K&N filter. Do I need to rejet for these two changes? I have heard that said the stock air box with a jet kit and the stock air box won't give me enough air and make it run rich, anybody else have these problems? What jet size should I start at

It'd be "enough air to make it run lean" - more than rich.

See how it runs. It'll probably get you to where you need to go to buy a jet kit :D

That said, I don't know the answer. I had mine rejetted when I changed to a K&N filter w/ stock airbox. I have bubs for pipes.

I have an ultraflow on the way now, so I'll have to rejet again, I bet - though according to the jet-kit chart (sticky) - I might only have to move the clip, since I have a 195 already in there. Still, I would like to get it dyno'd again...

Do a search on the "Scar" method for jetting. Chances are you won't have to change much, so why waste $ on a bunch of jets when you can easily modify your stock stuff. Buy 1 or 2 jets (about $3 a piece) and a set of washers from Radio shack for $3-4.

Is Scar a mechanic?

Has he had exhaust gas analysis done on his and other bikes that have done this?

Just saying - and not to rip on you or him, but, there is no "total" solution that fits everyone.

The DJ 200 is a smaller jet than the 195 that was stock in your carb. Its measured different. With the addition of the K&N, I'd suggest you do a plug check. You may have a problem sneaking up on you.

yeah, I know it seems counter intuitive...the DJ kit instructions for stock box/element and pipes is their 190main and 3rd clip on needle 2.5 turns.

I will be doing a plug chop soon, but I have been tuning mine in stages and having fairly predictable results with the DJ kit.
