Damn. Guess I can never go through Tennessee!! I'm up to about a 300 yard wheelie last I measured.

...

But it's already a local law for us in Kansas City. Only it's called 'exhibition of acceleration' and could be applied to wheelies and burnouts.

Kinda funny they have to pass laws for certain things when the existing ones will work.

We don't need more laws, just some one with the gonads to up hold the ones we do got.

Head over to the Kansas board on this site and start looking for posts on next months Cassoday gathering. I'll try to make that one. People won't be posting about it until later this month, though. But I've met some good people on that board. More active over there than the Missouri boards is in K.C.

If you don't already know... Cassoday's gathering is the first Sunday of each month, so it'll be Aug. 5th.

the reason they changed the law is a good lawyer can twist it and say he was in full control of the wheelie and let it down and even turn at will so it wasn't considered reckless driving by definition

its like taking a safety test by your employer if you miss one question and something later happens a lawyer can twist it saying they may not have fully trained you but if you get 100% you understand no reason for doubt it happened at a previous employer

I thought 'wheelies' were covered by all 'Reckless Driving Statutes'.

Heck around here doing a burnout can get you cited for that.

Just depends on how big a prk the cop wants to be I guess.

Yeah I have a T-shirt. My sister and I ran out there last month. Cassoday is the coolest thing since low carb bagels replaced sliced bread.

well

I thought the "vehicle requirements" statutes require all motorcycles to have 2 tires on the ground with more than 1/32" of tread... :) We had Americruise roll through Lincoln this week. I had a mid 90's Crown Vic (local guy) on 3 wheels with his hydraulic system. I was thinking "reckless" or at least negligent driving... As I turned around on him in the really busy traffic, he disappeared off the main drag... I wonder why?

Wheelies, will the 1300 do wheelies?
Hell yeah....

Hey Don, That picture wasn't by chance taken in horn lake, MS was it?

Just wondering cause there is a 1300 down that way that will pull up all day long.
Actually that's Mike 149; I haven't seen him on here in awhile. I always got a kick out of that pic, so I found it in his Big Bike account. Bubba can actually do a wheelie like that in 5th gear.
