Abstract: Traffic Safety - Adds driving motorcycle while front tire is off the ground to offense of reckless driving; violation is a Class B misdemeanor. - Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 10 and Title 55, Chapter 8.

Damn. Guess I can never go through Tennessee!! I'm up to about a 300 yard wheelie last I measured.

But it's already a local law for us in Kansas City. Only it's called 'exhibition of acceleration' and could be applied to wheelies and burnouts.

But I've met some good people on that board. More active over there than the Missouri boards is in K.C.

the reason they changed the law is a good lawyer can twist it and say he was in full control of the wheelie and let it down and even turn at will so it wasn't considered reckless driving by definition

its like taking a safety test by your employer if you miss one question and something later happens a lawyer can twist it saying they may not have fully trained you but if you get 100% you understand no reason for doubt it happened at a previous employer

I thought 'wheelies' were covered by all 'Reckless Driving Statutes'.

Heck around here doing a burnout can get you cited for that.

Yeah I have a T-shirt. My sister and I ran out there last month. Cassoday is the coolest thing since low carb bagels replaced sliced bread.

I thought the "vehicle requirements" statutes require all motorcycles to have 2 tires on the ground with more than 1/32" of tread... We had Americruise roll through Lincoln this week. I had a mid 90's Crown Vic (local guy) on 3 wheels with his hydraulic system. I was thinking "reckless" or at least negligent driving... As I turned around on him in the really busy traffic, he disappeared off the main drag... I wonder why?

Not only can Bubba wheelie in fifth like that he's doin well over 180 mph. :lol:
