If i put LED turn signals on my bike,do i need a load equalizer?

I'd like to add to this question. If I change out all the standard bulbs to led, do I still need the load equalizer?

Most likely yes, unless you add LOTS of LEDs. ;)

The issue is that the blinker frequency is determined by the amount of current draw. LEDs draw less current so they flash faster. Replacing all of the incandescent lamps just compounds that. All the load equalizer is is a couple of diodes and a resister.

It's not a matter of having the two styles of lights at the same time.

some of the benefits used to sell LED's, less current draw, is negated by the load equalizer. You are just putting the heat into the resistor instead of the bulb. You can get a load independent, electronic, flasher at auto zone for 12 bucks.

So what should i ask for exactly when i go over there?
