I have 4800 miles on the original tires on my 2003 1800R. What is the normal life of these tires?

Mr H...the stock tires are not known for longevity. I have 6500 miles on mine and they have definitely see better days. I will be putting on new tires soon.

I've got over 14K on mine and looks like 5K more.
Kay.GranpaJ's wife has around 20K on hers and they still look good.

Tires are like raxor blades some times they last 2 days or they go on for weeks

Tires

I replaced the ones on my 1800R at 13,000. The front could've gone another 1,000 or so but the local stealer was having a grand opening and installation was free!!!

Dunlops can get 8-10k usually. Keep pressure at 40 psi.

Metz are good for more.

Bridgestone has a new tire out, no word on them yet.

If you like to smoke 'em, then Bob's your uncle!! :D

I have 8K on these stock stock tires. The rear looks like it could another couple thousand but the front, I still can't get over this, is absolutley BALD. I've never had a front go before a rear, I mean it's really bad.
