Just took a look at my air filter for the first since I got my bike a month ago. Everything looked pretty clean, but there seems to be some light oil sitting in bottom of the filter box. Is this normal? I searched the threads and came up empty.

Its normal. Mostly blowback from your crankcase breather hose. Just clean it out every so often as needed.

I take it that everything is stock (air box, pair valve, etc...)?

Yes, it is normal. There is a small clear tube on the bottom back of the air box that will need cleaned out once in a while too. It is because the breather tube feeds into the air box from the front rocker box cover.

If you want further reading on the subject, search "crank case breather". Some have put on a separate filter, some aftermarket air boxes have had way odder problems. It's a subject that seems to pop up more in the spring, with cooler moist riding conditions allowing for more condensation.
