Hey guys. Any reason you can't use lock washers behind the acorn nuts to keep them from coming loose? Also my new pipes I am putting on (2-1 sideburners seem to have a little thinner flange than the stock and also the stock has the heat guard flange. Think there is any probs doing this and also I won't run out of acorn. Appreciate any thoughts on doing this.
Thanks

I recommend using the lock washers always. I also prefer stainless hex nuts over the chromed acorn nuts. This switch will allow one to identify a losening flange nut at-a-glance. Also, there's no worry of bottoming out the hex nut as with acorn nuts.
