I'm trying to get some info on vtx parts because I've found it's possible to swap them onto a vt1100. I'm looking for the compression height/distance on the piston, rod length, combustion chamber cc, distance from center line of cam to the mating surface of the head, and the overall width and height of the head. I'd you have any if the info, I'd be grateful. If you have a piston, rod, or head laying around taking up space that you could send, I'd gladly get any other data from it you may want and send it back. I've started a thread here if you care to look: Big bore for 1100
Thanks for your help.

So here's the problem.... the 1300 engine is reliable like an anvil.
I've been a member here for over 15 years.
I can count on one hand the number of engines that have needed tearing down.
Chances of someone having one apart, here, are slim to none.

My suggestion buy a salvage engine.
here's one on ebay for small money.

I don't doubt their reliability at all but some people always want more out of their motor. Given that je sells higher comp pistons with 2 diff ratios in 2 different sizes, there are a handful of people that have replaced them. I think the odds are a little better than a lightning strike but I'm hoping some of those people see this and respond.
