Why not donate $2.00 to the "VTX Riders Fund", benefitting riders who have gone down. We are trying to raise money to help offset some of the expense involved in something we ALL have experienced or eventually will experience. We are currently collecting for JDcook72 who went down recently, and is recovering in the hospital. It doesn't have to be a major donation. We have raised alot so far, mostly on donations under $5.00.
You can use paypal, so it is quick and easy. This fund will continue to benefit the riders of this board as long as there are people willing to help. Click on the link below, and help someone. Someday it could be you. Thanks for reading.

Cool Runnings has set up this fund with the help of many other people on the board. As it was explained to me, anyone is eligable, however someone else from the board must nominate them. JDcook72 is our first recipient. we will collect for one week, and then send this money to help offset his expenses. I don't know if he has insureance, but even if he does, there is usually a deductable, plus the fact that he will not be able to work for quite a while. If you would like a little more info than I have provided, please check these threads:

Thank you and God bless.

I have a friend (he was on his CBR1000RR) that was hit head on by an uninsured drunk driver in October. His bill was covered 90% by his insurance company - a good plan - right? Well - his portion of the hospital bill was almost $50,000!!! That does not count that he was out of work for almost 6 months while he was re-learning to walk again. The accident is costing him a small fortune.

Y'all please donate to this fund - these folks will need the assistance!

John

BTW - my friend rode again for the first time since the wreck about two weeks ago ... :)
