I'm new to the vtx 1300r. I have a stock seat and I'm looking to lower and puch my stance back. I'm 6'3 and 270lbs. I feel like I'm riding on the tank. Bike has highway bars so I'm not sure if I can extend my forward controls. I'm looking to get a new seat. Any suggestions or options that don't break the bank are all appreciated. I'm in Colorado. Sorry for the dark pic.

Contact this guy a fellow VTXOA member from the old days. He will make your stock seat into whatever you need and he does a great job and it will be more comfy after he works on it too

Don't go the shorter shocks route. They ride harsher than stock lengths. At your size, I don't think you would consider that, but just thought you might need input. When someone says "lower the stance", that's usually what they intend. For shorter legs.

No, I want to sit lower and farther back in the saddle. Thanks for the advice though
J.I.C. you are looking for a used Ultimate X seat: They offer 3 different styles (sizes) for the 1300, the Lowrider, for short-legged folks, a Mid-Rider, for those not sure, I guess, and the Big Boy. The Big Boy sits the driver up a bit and BACK a bit. I have an 1800, and they only offered 2 options, the LR and BB. According to their charts, @ 5'10", 215#, I fell in the middle. Since I had already installed 6" risers to relieve arm strain, I did not want the BB that moved me further back. I chose the LR, and although the Boiz are very close to the rear of the tank, I don't feel smushed at all. I feel like I'm sitting IN the bike rather than ON it. Best purchase I ever made for the bike.
